K-Groove & The Brass Bottom 4tet

K-GROOVE

K-Groove was formed back in 1992 as an outlet for my arranging and compositions inspired by John Coltrane, The Klezmatics and too many Jewish Weddings. Since it’s creation the band has produced 3 Cds.

Too Loud for Dinner 1994

Smoked Salmon Salsa 2000

I Can’t Hear U When U Shout 2010

The arrangements and compositions are all fairly quirky and fun, containing elements of Jazz, funk, latin and rock blended with melodies from my Jewish heritage.

THE BRASS BOTTOM 4TET

As austerity was hitting the country and the music business, I decided to help out in these challenging times by forming a smaller ensemble to fit into smaller venues. Hence The Brass Bottom 4tet appeared on the scene in 2013 and produced it’s 1st CD in 2014. Live at The Cabin Studio.

By combining swing, Tango and klezmer with the unique line up of tuba,guitar,clarinet/soprano and drums the Brass Bottom 4tet produces a refreshingly authentic sound.
